Nestled at the base of the Sierra Nevada, Reno is located just “over the hill” from Sacramento and the Bay Area. Reno is accessible via the I-80 by car or Reno-Tahoe International Airport by air. Many hotels near the University offer free airport shuttles and Reno public transportation is easy to use.
We recommend Whitney Peak Hotel as the best choice if you want to stay near the University–especially if you are interested in climbing the world’s highest climbing wall. There are, however, many other hotel choices in the area.
While visiting Reno, travelers may want to consider exploring Lake Tahoe and/or Virginia City, or many of our other attractions and amenities.
